Players – The Potsdam Community Band welcomes all adult musicians who play traditional concert band instruments (woodwinds, brass, percussion). Talented high school students may participate with the recommendation of their own music teacher and their parent/guardian signature. Membership in the band is open, and seating is assigned by section leader. Current musicians in the band range from adult beginners to those who teach music as part of their career.
If you are new to the Potsdam Community Band and might want to play with us, please email potsdamcommunityband@gmail.com.
Volunteers – PCB also needs graphic designers, logistics crews, librarians, publicists, and more to put on a concert. Visit our Volunteer Opportunities page to find out how you can help.

Large Crowd Supports “Heroes Among Us”
Our January 18 concert featured one of our largest audiences ever for a winter show, as over 350 people gathered in Hosmer Concert Hall. Concert proceeds went to benefit two outstanding organizations of hometown heroes:
– The Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad, and
– Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department,
which split the proceeds of our free-will donation at the concert. Audience (and band members) contributed a total of $800 to each organization!
